Save Spot (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our budgeting app (“App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

Save Spot utilizes Apple’s built-in metrics system to collect anonymized metadata to help improve the app’s functionality and user experience. This data may include information such as session duration, crash reports, device model, and general location settings (e.g., locale or language preferences). Importantly, Save Spot does not collect any personal or identifiable information. This includes all data you manually input into the app, such as your income, expense history, or any financial details.

How We Use Your Information

Anonymized crash reports and device information are collected to identify and resolve issues within the app. Additionally, anonymized device data may be analyzed to determine priorities for supporting specific locales or translations. Aggregated metrics, such as total download numbers, may be utilized for marketing and promotional purposes. Anonymized analytic events may also guide decisions on feature enhancements and future development priorities. The information you manually input into the App is used to enable budgeting and financial tracking functionalities within the App. We do not process, analyze, or share your data for any other purposes.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, share, or disclose your data to any third parties. However Apple’s iCloud framework is used to sync your manually input data across devices. Your data stored in iCloud is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can enable iClouds Advanced Data Protection for end-to-end encryption of your data or disable iCloud for the Save Spot App in your device settings.

Data Retention

Data you manually input into Save Spot is stored on your device and in iCloud (if enabled) for as long as you use the App or until you delete the data. If you uninstall the App, your locally stored data will be deleted, but data stored in iCloud may remain unless removed through your iCloud account settings.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including the utilization of Apple’s secure iCloud framework for data storage and ensuring that all data remains on your device unless synced to iCloud. While we strive to safeguard your data, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please ensure you use a secure Apple ID and manage your iCloud settings responsibly.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have specific privacy rights. For the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and Canada you have the right to request a copy of your data, update or correct your data, delete your data entirely or export your data in a portable format. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements, App features, or practices. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the App after such changes indicates your acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy.
